Bluetooth connection does not work for SMS and dialing. No immediate
plans for a driver from Palm.

Just a warning. Palm seem to be letting things slip these
days....i'll be buying an iPaq if they keep this up.

Can't you just use another Nokia-type, if yours isn't available in the
list?

Besides.. Dialing and SMS over a serial connection is standardized AFAIK.
And it's often Nokia who's not so eager to implement those standards..
IMHO, Nokia is the Microsoft/Internet Explorer of the mobile phone
industry...

I think it's just too easy to blame PalmOne for this.

Yes, and it works for mail and web but not for sms and dailing

That's what i would have thought but there is something non-standard
in the Nokia implementation - it goes off into 'remote sim mode' which
is something to do with a new Nokia car kit.

Maybe. I suspect it's Nokia who have done something odd but that
doesnt excuse Palm's attitude - the 6230 is only the third or fourth
Nokia with Bluetooth and it's bound to sell in huge numbers. Palm
need to keep ahead of the market - waiting for enough people to
complain before thinking about writing a driver is just going to
alienate their customers.
