My friend is looking for a laptop. The budget is around $1,000. He will be using it for listening/downloading music, web browsing and writing papers. He also wants a CD/DVD burner. He DOES NOT want "extra" bundled software (aka bloatware like Norton, Mcafee and such). He will not be using this for gaming.
I don't really know anything about laptops so I thought someone here could help.
Thanks
Unfortunately in that pricerange he is going to get a lot of bloatware because the software guys usually pay a small fee to be included, which helps the notebook supplier keep the price down.
These should go a long way to getting your friend a better system if he can stand a DELL.
