Im getting a laptop for college, and my price range isnt high. Im streaching it at 1200-1300, but im not buying anything without a graphics card, so most everything is that price. A better laptop would probably be one thats cheaper, that has a core duo, no good graphics card, but i could install a graphics card later, if anyone knows something like that, i would be very greatful.

here's what ive found in my studies, but im sure there are more out there.

This is the laptop im planning on buying, unless someone tells me otherwise, im getting it at frys, and its about 1300.
hp dv8300

I've also looked at these laptops

lenovo 3000 n100

fujitsu 3530

and this use to be the one i wanted, but im not sure i can trust acer, they aparently have horrible customer service, and warrenty is probably not worth it. At least from what i have read everywhere.
acer 5670

So my best bet would be some laptop thats cheap and upgradable, if you know something i dont, your space to talk is right here, thanks.

Ask Hardware Boss about his notebook.

I think it was pretty decent and he was threatening to sell it.

Otherwise I would look on Ebay to try to stretch your buck. There are so many people that want the newest and are willing to sell the 2nd to newest for pretty cheap.

Aslo look in the reply I posted Laptop Advice, I had put some DELL coupons in there and for $1,300 you can get a pretty nice DELL system that would usually cost $2000 for the $750 off $1999 coupon. Also, those coupons are for Inspiron laptops.
