Some time ago, someone sent me a link to a website with a database of
recently-sold eBay items (mostly pro audio gear) and the average price they
were going for, how often they sold, etc etc. Can anyone remember what the
URL was?

You can get some retrospective info out of eBay itself, by asking to see
completed auctions.

just search for the item on ebay and select 'completed items only'.
