I just recently purchased a SB Audigy Platinum OEM on ebay, and installed it with the drivers which came with the CD. the sound was barely audible and there was a massive amount of fuzz coming out of the center speaker of my 5.1 Creative 5200 speakers; there was no sound coming out of the other 4 speakers. after reinstalling, uninstalling, installing the newest drivers on the Creative website, uninstalling, and reinstalling again, the problem still remained with the speakers either outputting fuzz w/barely audible sound or massive fuzz with no sound. after restarting, i got a blue screen and the computer would not boot into windows. i switched PCI slots, installed the newest drivers, and now it's back to massive fuzz with barely audible sound. i know the speakers are not the problem because if i plug the center speaker cable into my integrated sound card, sound comes out perfectly. any advice would be MUCH appreciated.
