Hi Guys,

My laptop blew up and the company I bought it through is going to replace it with a newer model (old one doesn't exist). When I bought my origional laptop the X700 was top of the line. They want to give me a machine with an X1400 in it. Does anyone know if this will out perform my old card. Also, I notice there is an X1800 mobility chip on the market so the X1400 seems to be low performance?

Any questions or comments would be apreciated,

Thanks

Great thanks for the information. It would seem that they will be down grading my graphics.

I'm not sure I will have much come back as new machine will have a dual core CPU.

The new machine they want to give me is a

Aspire 5672WLMi w/

My old blown one is

Aspire 1694WLMi

Does anyone have a Aspire 5672WLMi w/ and can comment on the performance.

Also a little bit faster and easier to check the specs on the GPU

Mobile GPU Comparison Page

I would leave the new system unopened and sell it on Ebay as new.

I would also try cusomter service and try bitching up a storm to try to get an upgraded system.
