i have an acer travelmate2500, p4 2.8, ati mobility radeon 9000, 40 G HDD, 512 SDRAM DDR, Combo.
I want to change my current cpu with one that has HT socket 478.
Do you think it is possible ?
Does anyone has a processor to gave away ? :)

If the board you are using right now does not suppurt HT socket 478 then the answer is no. Unless you change out he board and doing that on a laptop is next to impossible and does not make too much sense. More of a headache then its worth to gain barely anything extra.

CPU-Z is always a good start, find out what chipset you have first...
