After initially wanting to get a semi-weighted sub-£300 keyboard as a
midi controller I've come aroung to thinking that investing in a hammer
action stage piano as a controller might be more worthwhile and
rewarding musically. I wouldn;t be using the inbuilt sounds to any
great extent so the differentiator is really midi functionality. I
don't really need any knobs or sliders but a decent number of splits
would be a plus, for example #(and I mean actual MIDI splits rather
than simply sound/tone splits). Any opinions on which of the following
might be best:
Roland RD300SX
Yamaha P90
Kawai ES3 or even MP9500/MP4
Korg sp-200/300/500
....or any others you might recommend. I'm hopefully going to have a go
at some soon so I want to be aware of as many contenders as possible!

If it matters to you, check to see if the P90 delivers full MIDI dynamic
range; I think the P80 does not.
