Free download of legacy audio drivers for windows 7

good day! i changed my OS from windows xp to windows 7 pro, now i don't have any audio / sound. please advise what to do? happened to have a copy of my previous sound, video and game controllers which lists legacy audio drivers and realtek ac'97 audio.

received your reply with software download which i ran accordingly. many thanks Area51reopen! unfortunately, still unable to activate audio. any other suggestions?! would highly appreciate your kind assistance.

did you try your motherboard maker for the audio driver on win 7

Your sound card may just be to old to support Windows 7. It is hard to tell but it would help to know the make/model of your card. There are some sound card out there in the $15 to $25 dollar range that have Windows 7 32/64bit support if you need to replace the one you have.
