Hello,
I bought an HP 2511, 25" backlit LCD monitor. Prior to the purchase, I used a monitor made in 2004 which does not have a backlit screen. After viewing the 25" monitor, I can not sleep . I have stopped using the new monitor. Is there any way to reduce the glare and/or blue wavelength emission? Are there any non-backlit screens on the market? Everything seems to be backlit or am I simply out of luck? I am referring to insomnia as mentioned in this article:

All the new monitors are so much nicer than the one I am using but I am afraid I will have sleep problems if I use the backlit ones.

Thank you.

Hello,

Have you tried turning down the brightness/ and or contrast? I've had to do that with my work LCD as well as home LCD as the brightness and contrast were a bit much for myself.]

You could also look into getting one of those glare reducing film screens that go directly over your LCD screen which kind of look like tinted glass on vehicles.
