Win2000 tweaking.

I have installed Win2k a couple a days ago (upgraded from Win98) and I like this new OS.
But I want to tweak this OS to its maximum performance... I already installed all updates and tweaked my video card drivers, I also used Cacheman.
Are there any other things I can do to get the max out of this OS?
Thanks in advance.

Here are my specs:
AMD Athlon 1600+ & 1540 MHz
Abit KG7-RAID
512 MB PC2400 DDR-RAM
GeForce2 MX
SB Live!
Generic NIC card with realteck chip.

LOL yeah
xteq is a nice program...

craploads of things u can change... i dont know what half of them do LOL

what i DO find very handy about xteq is the memory boosing options for win2k and the 'programs run on startup' option.

able to very efficiently streamline my PC by deleting all those stupid programs that ensist on being loaded on startup. i.e. icq, sblive utilities, msn crap. u name it!

oh yes... burn onto at least 2 CD's LOL

oh yeah... another thing i havent told everyone yet. u know how i got a spankin new 17" monitor a month or so ago? well its FUBAR.
seems the 'degaus' function is... malfunctioning.

often on powering up the 'monitor on auto degaus fails to work' giving me a image with lovey green bottom and red top.

doing manual degaus occasionally help, but often when i do that i hear nasty sparking sounds, and even if it does degaus properly the lower left corner ends up washed out.

guess its going back for a new one!!!
*sihgs*
not a good week computer wise

Why in Amsterdam? That is to far to do on a bike (I don't have my driving license yet). But The Hage is much closer.
