I have a small office for my hobby and ordered a laptop and desktop. I have DSL and would like a little info on how and what I need to get to run a network to both of these. I will be using the laptop in the main part of my house where the DSL box is located and the desktop in my home office. Do I need a mini card for both to get this work or will one in the one that is hooked to the DSL box be fine? Which kind of Networking hardware do I need to get? New at networking and would love any input you might have. Thanks for any help. :D

get a BROADBAND ROUTER =)

They run between 50 and 150 dollars (US)

Desktop can plug into the Router port #1 - 5 or 10 (RJ45)
Laptop can use either wireles(if the router is wireless) or another port

DSL modem can be plugged into the INTERNET port on the router.

Bingo =) Internet on both pc's
