I recently bought the new MSI K7N2G-ISLR Motherboard and the serial ata western digital Raptor 10,000rpm 8mb chache hard drive. I have it running off from the onboard promise raid controller. I did a benchmark using sisoft sandra and its pulling about 27mb a second, is that good? I honestly don't know. Sandra compared it too several SCSII raid configurations that showed twice the bandwidth, (I only have the 1 raptor drive on the controller BTW). I guess my big question is, is this a good speed for what I bought? if not do you guys/ladies have any suggestions of how to tweak it to go faster?

I bought these two products after reading reviews from Here. I must say compared to my ATA100 drive on my old mobo it is fast as heck, but I just want to make sure its running like it should.

If any of your scores are under half of what I achieved then there is definately something wrong somewhere.

Could you post all the results you get plz.
