I just bought a new laptop and i tryed to install windows but when formating the drive to NTFS it just hangs on 44 %, i tryed quickformating and it did it, but also when i do scandisk in windows it hangs on the stage 4 around where the 44% should be, could it be a harddrive problem ?
The hard drive is a Samsung HM120JI Other confs are :
CPU : Intel Core Duo T2400
Chipset : Intel 945
Ram : 1 GB DDr II
GPU : Mobility Radeon x1600 256MB
yes i did it to check for and try to repair bad sectors otherwise it wouldent go to stage 4 only to stage 3, and no i didnt buy it used
I have already tryed the scandisk 4 times now always stops and same position and doesnt say anything
Ill be returing it prolly then , ill call them on monday and talk to them about it. And i did checkdisk in windows recovery console now and it says
