Bitlocker recovery software

Hello,i was decrypting my external hdd using OS bitlocker but before it finish an error occured requesting mi to run chkdsk /r,but whnever i plug my hdd it requires a password which when i entered it the window do not respond,pls folks help mi out i tried to run disk check bt it doesnt help

You need to enter the correct password, or format the hard disk to make it usable again.
