Hi,
I recently attached the SAMSUNG SP1604N P80, 160 GB 7200 hard disk as slave to the primary IDE controller. Mainboard is ASUS A7V133 Rev. 2.0 with 384 MB SDRAM present. With Partition Magig 7.0 I made it a single logical FAT32 partition. Win98b identifies it as 149GB partition and the disk seems to work properly.

Now the problem: Scandisk complains about not having enough free memory and won't check this partition. This does not happen with all the other (smaller) hard drives/partitions in my computer.
Can this problem be fixed without dividing the disk into smaller partitions ?

Can anybody help ?
Thx in advance

Uli

Thx for your reply. Had to devide the disk into 120G + 40G. Now it works fine. I had to face serious data loss working with the large 149G partition. So please regard this as a warning, at least all you Win98 users :)
