looking at ram modules again, a question... what is winbond & what does it do better than RAM without it ???

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...

winbound is a company that make memory chips just as samsung, micron, infineon, hynx and hyundai (sp?) do...it doesn't really do anything "better" than the other chips though.

so when a site selling memory lists;
TwinMOS PC3200 DDR-DIMM 512MB w/Winbond
its just memory module by winbond... wonder why they need to announce that but not made my hynix, micron etc ???

TwinMos w/ winbond is held in high regard among overclockers. Ask or Search at <A HREF="http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/" target="_new">ExtremeOverclockers</A>, for example.

i thought infineons were supposed to be the hot setup...i guess it depends who you ask...just read the benchmarks whichever suits you best in terms of performance and overclockability should be the one you purchase.
