I recently was given a ProTools Project PCI card and interface but I
need software. I contact Digi and they said it was no longer available
and to start checking ebay and newsgroups so here I am. I need version
4 (any revision) for Mac. Please let me know availability and price at
mr2ce@hotmail dot com. Thanks!

Well the Project card systems work with Digi's DAE & Digi Inits
on older versions of Logic and Studio Vision Pro as well. You can
also use Protools 5.0.1 as well I think, I used an older nubus version
Project card with Protools 5.0.1 which still contains "nubus code"
(with a special hacked DAE extension which allows nubus use, Digi was
ok about it), so anyway I don't know why you couldn't use V5.0.1 with a
PCI Project card.

Also Studio Vision Pro is available basically for free at the
links below, You can use the last couple of versions of Studio Vision
with
Protools 3 hardware, both with DAE (multiple outs) and the Acadia audio

drivers (Native DSP so you can use VST plugins and 2 channels out for
mixing).   You want Studio Vision Pro which supports TDM to use the
multiple ins and outs of the Project card and interface.  Some of the
old Opcode guys did users a solid and wrote
Acadia drivers optimized for system 9, you can find them at some of the

user group sites along with .pdfs of some of the "missing manuals" that

aren't there at the Opcode site for some reason. The last version
includes Rewire support but there are no VST Instruments, so if you
want  that you have to use one of those VST instument shell programs
and Rewire them into Vision.

You can download the copy protection-free versions of Studio
Vision/Vision at the Opcode (Gibson) website, but the site may only be
available for download at night.  You will need to get the support
files from the
users sites, they came on the CD's but the Opcode Application downloads

are intended as end of life product support for registered users.
Here's my list of  Opcode sites, the users sites kinda have tumbleweeds

blowing through them these days but all the info you need is there.

DAE/Digi Inits are at Digidesign.com also.
