Am looking for a sub $1,000 laptop. Basically for everything (multimedia, work, programming , video-encoding) except for gaming. Was considering HP, Dell mainly but am open to other brands too. Had few doubts:
1) What is the difference between Inspiron 6400 (the small business models) and Inspiron (Exxxx) series (personal laptops)? Similarly kitted out ones differ greatly in prices. So which one should one go for?
2) Amongst Core Duo which is the minimum processor one should go for? How is 2050? Does it make sense to upgrade it to 2400 productivity wise.
Would really appreciate any help with this!
Btw any good models/deals out there that I should consider? (the Acer one few days ago - I sadly missed)
I just purchased this one today. although you might want the dual core for encoding. i was just trying to get the best bang for my buck with the better video card and 7200rpm hd which i couldnt find retail without spending and arm and a leg. use the 20% off at xpbargains.com. also the E1505 and 6400 are the same.
