Can PARALLELS be used for 2 simultaneous machines?

Hi,

I was wondering whether 1 computer can be used as two.
According to my current knowledge, parallels is a piece of software that can create Virtual Machines.
Could one install parallels and an OS and use it as two computers.

I was thinking of using two monitors, two keyboards, two mice, but one computer.
Thus, two people can use 1 computer simultaneously and do different tasks while not interfering with one another.
Is this possible?

Thanks

The instructions are for vista and vmware, but the concept is the same.
