Hi everyone. I want to purchase a laptop that will run music production software mostly and have good processing power. Applications over gaming for me.

Some things I would want are duo core, 7200 rpm hd, 1+ gig ram, quiet (as in classroom quiet), i can deal with a little heat but the cooler the better, batt life of 2+ hrs would be nice, and a budget of around 1500.

As for gaming, I like to game but i dont really care if my graphics, fps, or rez is top notch, as long as I can play it fine it doesn't have to look great.

I been planning to buy an Asus barebone from geared2play but I don't really see any benefits other then saving a little bit and having more options. So please recommend me a lappy and no, i'm not interested in a mac  . Thanks everyone!
