Want to buy a gift of MS Flight Simulator.

See that the ones in the store are labeled 2004.

Any idea when, and if, the 2005 will be out ?

never.
If and when there is a new version the most likely name will be FS2006 and
that's not expected until September/October 2005 at the earliest.
