Hi,
I recently bought a sony vgn-37gp when abroad.
When i connected to a WLAN in the UK it seemed to work fine. However my home WLAN works fine with other laptops, but my sony only works half the time?!, i.e. pinging google sometimes works, but only about 50% of the time, others it just times out.

Other things to note is that a wired ethernet connection works all the time and i am running norton internet security package (has everything in it).

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to use both wired and wireless at the same time?

In europe they use different chanels than we do here in the us. Reset your wireless region to 1-11.
