I currently have a Sony Vaio with a pentium 4 processor. I've had it for about 3 years now and I am looking to move on to another name brand and different laptop. What do you think fits me best? I want something that is fast and will download fast. I basically use a laptop for some school work (but I have a CD with Microsoft Office that I can burn onto the new laptop), I play lots of poker on the laptop and listen to music.

This Vaio doesn't have very good picture with videos and such so I would definately like an upgrade there. Oh and I'd like to keep the price under $1000. Thanks for your help!
