Monitor goes blank while pcs running

I would try to load up a game " Minecraft" I get about 20 or so mins into the game, then my Monitor, ( Which is an HD TV ) goes black randomly, the screen does not come back untill I turn the whole computer off and turn it back on. This has also happens in the middle of watching " Netflix" Instant streaming and sometimes just watching plain youtube. Why is the screen cutting to black, and how do I fix it?
