who decided it would be a good idea to put laptop screens behind a mirror? They're so hard to read in anything but a pitch-black room, and show up every smudge, fingerprint, and other dirt (although you can do your make-up on the go).
Does anyone know who still makes matte-screens? I'm looking for a laptop for a friend who doesn't have the world's best eyesight, so have to have matte as far as possible. Core Duo / Turion X2, 14"W or 15"normal, $1500-$2000 AU ($1000-$1500 US) (512-1024ram, 60-80hdd s/pata, integrated graphics). So far i've only seen the Toshiba Tecra A7 (i assume A6 and A8 also have matte, can anyone verify?), anyone know any others, preferably available in australia? (i'd prefer acer/asus/toshiba, but can get some benq/msi/samsung as well as compaq/hp/dell).

Get an Asus M6 series best matte screen I've ever seen. I own one and it rocks
