I think it may be too early to tell. These products have just recently been introduced.

Overclocked memory with a higher CAS Latency, is this really better then lower clocked memory with a better CAS Latency? PC4000 500mhz CL3 vs PC3200 400mhz CL2. I can only see people who are already using CL3 ram to benefit from the overclocking.

Unless you overclock your FSB to 500MHZ (good luck doing that...) running RAM not synched really won't do you much good, and you also get bad timings, so the way i see it, your getting screwed all over...

Coppermine, Banias, Opteron, Prescott, Barton... How 'bout investing less in the CPU and more in its name?

If I can get the kit (money always being the issue :smile: ) I intend to do just that.

IC7 at 250MHz with a 2.4 @ 3GHz, and PC4000 at 1:1

Should be a nice, reasonably fast system.
