FireWire 800 Audio/MIDI Interface with 24-Bit/192kHz Audio, ADAT and S/PDIF
I/O

Anybody have experience with this relatively new preamp/mixer/interface from
RANE.

If not, but you have experience with RANE mic preamps in general, can you
please comment on their sound quality.

Thanks.

Obviously this is a unit I have under consideration.

It's not from Rane, it's from RME.

Sorry, felt sure I saw that in the catalog, but obviously I'm wrong.

Don't misinterpret that -- RME is one of just a few top echelon audio
interface manufacturers and their customer support is second to none.
By all accounts, it's a great product, but I have no direct experience
with it. I'm currently using an HDSP Digiface and am quite happy with
that unit.
