I'm not really going for top of the line here, I just need something that is good and cheap. Right now I'm using onboard sound(ECS k7s5apro mobo) so I think it's about time to get a decent sound card.
Hopefully it's not asking for much, but I'm only willing to spend $50, $60 being the Max. Remember I'm also looking for some decent headphones.
Headphones: Koss UR 20 - $24.99

navigate to Products -> Home
Sound card:Creative Labs Soundblaster Live! Dolby Digital 5.1 - OEM (white box, card and drivers) - $33.00
<A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&manufactory=1137&catalog=57&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1" target="_new">http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&manufactory=1137&catalog=57&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1</A>
Total = $57.99
If it was my money that's what I would do.

I found one at <A HREF="http://www.jdsound.com/store/product1.asp?SID=2&Product_ID=1213" target="_new">JDSound</A> for $49.00, which leaves $11.00 for headphones following his $60.00 budget. BTW, I agree with your humble opinion, the Aureon has better features and sound.
I also found a cheaper SBLive! at <A HREF="http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/category_slc.asp?CatId=107" target="_new">TigerDirect</A> - $29.99
If you go with the cheaper Koss TD61 (which are still excellent) for $19.99 with the Aureon $49.00 total = $68.99
SBLive! + Koss TD61 = $49.98

If you could get your budget up a little more it'd help ya out alot. Its to bad you couldnt get your hands on an audigy 1 or audigy 2 oem (about $60) and get a good pair of sennheisers.. those are expensive but worth it if you are going to be using them alot.
