i am a real big fan of Biggie Smalls and love the old skool sh|t and there are very few new rtappers that actually call out to me anymore although it is my music of choice.

Oh yeah, I agree. You can't erase classics. Something is deemed classic because it stood the test of time, really. I don't think anyone will ever forget Tupac, NWA, Eminem, and others. Those really made changes and influenced the whole rap scene altogther.

BTW you meant true form as in current form, right?

It IS hard to perceive, man. You're having a harder time mostly because you're INTO it, you're IN the game. It's not the same as outsiders' POV.

Between classical music and rap, I can see a huge difference in musical sonority. Almost to the point a musician in classic music will think it's only talking, not singing or playing music.

It is even harder with the recent rap. The majority are turning away, even the hardcore rappers, from new age rap because it's just "chicks and money and expensive cars". Or in rap lingo, "girls, bling bling and ma Beeenz!"
It's just badly gone evolution, but maybe it will eventually turn back to its roots. I sure liked some of the old-school revivals lately. From "Ch-Check It Out" to your enemy Jay-Z's "99 Problems" (Rick James version), and someone else I forget right now, I gotta say it is a bit fresh indeed, and definitely more rap-like. Of course, anything out by Missy Elliott is also worthy of mention. She really is a lasting and proper evolving rapper, always trying original ideas.

Just giving you a more probable reason and understanding.

Uh, are you saying this in a defensive way? Sounds like it.
I do commend Missy Elliott a lot and appreciate her old and new work (well, less the R&B stuff than her rap). Don't know what "I can't stand the rain" is, don't think I ever heard it. But I gotta love "Work It" and "Gossip Folks", or the classic "Get Ur Freak On"(funny beat)!

Dude you sure it's "I can't stand the rain"? I could not find a Missy Elliott version of it, just "The Rain".

EDIT: On closer inspection, the lyrics contain that name though. And I can't find any song called Supa Dupa Fly, seems to be the album name.

I have only liked one foreign car and they don't make them any more it was called a Mitsubishi Sapporo I guess named after that city.

The damn thing was a 4 Cylinder with rather large none low profile tires. My dad after he got back from working overseas picked it up for my mother.

Later it was given to me and that thing was fast and handled like bullet train from hell in corners and in the straight aways. It made all the current cars like the Toyota Celica's look like bricks with square tires.

You could be going 100 miles an hour in that car and double clutch from 5th to 3rd gear and jump to 120 miles an hour in the blink of an eye and the RPM's would go from 35oo to 55oo and the motor never even whimpered.

If they still made those cars I would get another one. My brother T-boned it coming home from the drive-in one night ;(

I also drove a Rotary for a while and I never found the top end in that car we would run out of road before we ever got to it. The last attempt I think we were at 156 miles an hour before we had to shut it down again ran out of road. Takes a while to get the rotary going past 120 so we never had a road long enough but the damn engine simply kept spooling up in speed.

If you want a comfy car a 4 door Honda is not bad at all.

However none of them have the appeal of American Iron and never will. We had muscle cars that could both corner better then the jap stuff even with the cast iron blocks at twice the speed.

The new generations of jap cars corner better then most North American steel does now but they do not have the same staying power with the light over horsed aluminium blocks from the factory.

You only get a true Jap car with horsepower when they are reconditioned or race readied.

We even up here in Ottawa Can have lots of zipper cars around here most of them have the tin BEE mufflers on them that make lots of noise but almost all of them blow blue smoke as the engines are worn out from poor reliability.

Hell a Dodge slant six a solid block of steel could go 130 miles an hour standing on its head. Buddy had one on the worst snow storms his was the only car that would start. Unless you had yours in a heated garage.

All the Toyotas and such at the time were frozen little cubes.

Kids today have it much better with the foreign markets they never had to go through the design growing pains of the Japanese development faze that so hurt their rep in the 70' & 80's.

you double clutched down(5th to 3rd? maybe you accidentally mistyped it)? i never done that man, throw your tranny out i suppose. but i only a ford focus but it goods gas mileage (about 32 to the gallon) i can get it up to 115 before the governor kicks in. my friends reflashed his chip at a chopshop and he got his up to 133 before redlining it. of course he had the six speed SVT though, mines just a ZTS. But it hugs the roadly beautifully i have never lost control of the car and normally i drive kinda fast ya know.

That is why I bothered to mention it in the first place. 5th gear in that car was a bonus round you could run it up to top speed in 4th and use 3rd as a sudo turbo boost or I should rephrase that to say Super charger.....cant use that how bout Nitro boost, ah none of the above but you get the idea and that is why I said it in the first place. 3RD!! and why if I could I would get another one.

I had a bud with a 16oocc LADA lol ooooh that little can was fun for driving through 8 foot snow banks going skiing. Anyhow it had a 4 speed and it screamed at 55oo rpm at 80 miles an hour lol.

He lost that car when we hit a hidden fire hydrant and folded the front clip around it. Hey it was a rural area out in the country coming back from a ski trip we say an access road on the right so we ploughed up that and turned around the Snow plow left a massive snow bank from the main road at the bottom were the access road branched off the main road. TALLY FREAKING HO .......CLANK lol I think the headlights would have touched around the hydrant if they were still in the car. Oh we hurt for days after that one and the cold walk back to the lodge.

i see what your saying now you were in third and double clutched into 5th, that makes more sense, cool if i ever double clutch its just one gear so i can get power from the next but hey, to each his own i guess.mines redlines at 6500-7000 so i can get it to 80 in 4th before redlining and having to shift to fifth.

the normal reasoningbehind doubleclutching is to raise the RPM's of the car so you can gen a burst of spped9say 3500 in 3rd gear doubleclutch to 6500)(burst of speed )(shift to fourth , double clutch tp 6000 rpms)(burst of speed)(shift to fifth.) if you Double clucth in fifth you would push the rpms up 5000+ (90+ mph) and shift to third you would drop the tranny out of the car only hard core sports car can go 90 mph in 3rd gear. not to mention 5000 rpms in 5th gear would put you well over redline in third and you car would literally sh|t out its tranny.

You would think the tranny would go right out the back end but it never did that car was built like a 4 wheel drive, a Tank and those are the factory tires. Imported by Plymouth Dodge. Rem the old Dodge Colts about the same years accept this was in a league by it's self.

Oh it was pre 90's trust me :) I loved that Car and it was built like a tank as I say my Brother came home from the drive in with 3 friends he was to drunk to drive so he let his bud Ryan drive home.

They were doing at least 60 K On Fallowfield road and T-boned an Impala that ran the Stop sign off a side road.

The lady was OK she got nailed on the passenger side. The Front of the Sapporo was packed back to the block and fire wall and not a single person was hurt not even a scratch.
