More Information

Hi, this is my first post here. I just inherited my dad's SB Live 5.1 Platinum card and after installing the card and the front panel extension the card auto detected just fine. When I went to install the software it gave me an error saying the Liveware was outdated and not compatible with Win XP...I installed anyway and got some nasty blue screen action. I uninstalled everything including the drivers and then installed the creative unidriver patch...and it still won't run properly. So, my question is, should I go back, install the old liveware and then the patch on top of it or is there something else that I'm not doing properly? On board sound is disabled by the way. Thanks for the help ^_^ Later days.
