i cant download java i have a 64 bit system help

I have a 64 bit system but JAVA is 32 bit, The Java website says you don't need 64 bit Java unless you intend to use a 64 bit browser. I always use 32 bit Firefox and IE because most internet programs are not 64 bit compatible.
