Can't even get 30' of range,,, Help?

Is this a common problem with this particuliar wireless
router? When I only had the one computer and was using my
Linksys wireless acess point, I had excellent reception,
now that I had to go to a wireless router cause of
multiple computers, I chose Microsoft and no longer have
enough reception to maintain a steady internet connection.
