I have a problem that I'm looking for a bit of assistance with, Palm was less than helpful as I was less than willing to pay for tech support.
I recently disassembled and reassembled my PALM T3 to replace a cracked screen. I replaced the screen and digitizer and seemed to have no issue except for the following: Since the repair the onscreen keyboard input area doesn't appear at all. If I extend the case to show the larger screen the bottom revealed half does not light up. That area does light if I reset the PDA but won't work under normal conditions.
I noticed what appears to be some kind of a contact switch on the motherboard of the PDA, I'm am not sure if it affects the operation of the onscreen keyboard/extended screen area in question. I've tried paying with that but have been unable to resolve the issue.
If you have any suggestions or information, I'd would be very grateful for your input.
