I have this same exact monitor. I play all sorts of games, and even online games. The monitor doesn't have any downfalls with it what so ever as far as gaming is concerned. So far, I've had it for about 3 years or more and there still isn't a single dead pixel! I got it at a great price from Staples when I was in college. So far, I have nothing but good things to say about this monitor. I'm almost contemplating on spending the little extra to get a second one to hook up to my computer.

Response time in milliseconds, lower is better.
17 and some 19" LCD go as low as 12ms for response time.

For good gaming 16ms or lower is preferred.
