High pitched ringing sound from WD Raptor?

Hey guys,
I just got a Western Digital Raptor 10,000rpm hard drive yesterday and it is making a very high pitched ringing sound at all times. Obviously this is very annoying so I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with the drive or if this is normal? I'd appreciate any answers you can give.

I've got a couple of WD Raptors in a RAID 0 array and I've never heard anything like what you've just described. I'd be a little worried if I were you. At least they come with a 5 yr warranty. Maybe you should think of bringing it back to where you got it from.
