Serial ATA PCI cards

I was wondering if its a good idea to get one of the SATA PCI cards and add serial ATA drive to my old comp. I am still waiting for the cash to buy all other components for my new comp, so I will be using my old p3 for few months still.

SATA doesn't give you a performance increase yet, but there's nothing wrong with the SATA cards if you must insist.
