Hello,
I tried to install window 7 to new Extreme SSD couple times but I always got the same message:
“Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and restart your computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacture.
Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.”
I have contacted with Sandisk support already and here is my Ref. #1088542
I need your advise.

Check if the SSD and CD/DVD are good connected.
If it doesnt work try changing the CD/DVD IDE port. from PIO4 to PIO2 and from ultraDMA2 to ultraDMA0 (In the BIOS). If it doesnt work use another Windows disk or USB.
Maybe its corrupted or isnt reading good.

Good Luck!
