Hi,
My company bought me Asus A7JC notebook, which is really great. Question is : how do I enable SPDIF on that damn thing? According to manual, SPDIF is shared on headphones-out. I tried connecting my home thater system (Denon AVR-1705 receiver) and then manipulating all options in sound configuration (notebook uses ALC882 chip), but no effect. I use newest drivers (5.10.00.5200).
I wanted to try out Dolby Digital Live 
, but failed to get even simply PCM stereo output. My deskopt's Audigy 1 works great with my home theater system, got both PCM stereo output and AC3 pass-through from movies, so it is notebook's output not working here...
