Hi, folks:

I'm looking for a reasonable recommendation for a headphone set. Here
are my specific needs:

1) I wear headphones at work for a project analyzing music.

2) I listen to MP3s directly from the computer hard drive.

3) My main set is a Sennheiser HD 515, which does a good job and is
comfortable. The ear pads are large enough so that the entire ear is
covered.

4) I need some relief from the HD 515, and think that a small in-ear
headphone would help "air out" my ears a bit. I listen to music 6-8
hours a day.

So, what would people recommend to use -- OTHER than those cheap little
things that come with iPods.

Thanks!

Stephen

The Etymotics.

You might also consider an open-ear headphone like the Grados.

headwize makes some in-ear stuff that does some stereo correcting
besides just the regular listening.

If you listen 6-8 hours a day, the last thing you want is earphones (which
you incorrectly call "in-ear headphones" ).

But if you want earphones, the best choice would the STAX electrostatic
earphones. They come with their own amp, and are not cheap.
