I'm running a home built Asus A7V266-e with a AP-10 SCSI Pro PCI. The system boots fine and the SCSI card is detected, but when I boot with a SCSI device connected, the system hangs up during post. If I go into the SCSI bios, I see that it is hanging on the device number that I assigned.
I have tried all available device numbers and three different SCSI devices (one at a time). I have also replaced the card and cable, but I have the same problem. I have tried it under WIN98, 2000, and XP, but it never reaches the OS load; so, I don't believe this is related.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
JCC

I don't work with SCSI much (and when I do it's usually old stuff) but one silly thought popped into my head: Are you sure that the SCSI channel is terminated?
