I have to agree with almost everyone, Tom's ain't what it used to be. I started reading it in 1998 and it progressively got bigger, more ads and of course less impartial. The we had a wave of spam from them, mostly unrelated to what we really needed.

This article is a discredit to what THW used to stand for which was honest and to the point article. I feel like I'm looking a pimple faced cheerleaders on the MS bandwaggon! Funny thing is it happens al the time. Any time the MS mastodont finally musters an iteration of its ill-conceived OS, you have a bunch of cheerleaders who wet their pants. This time, it's laughable. Predicting the state of security in 5 years when MS is probably the major player in vulnerabilities issues out there is just taking people for idiots.

I have no real urgent interest in Vista. The hardware requirement are not only ridicullous bu furstrating for more people. This OS is yet another iteration of marketing gone bad. MS is looking for more ways to make more money. It has some interesting features but I will keep Linux and OSx for fun and security

And when are we going to get more coverage on Apple and Linux? Like most people I know I switch and I find pleasure again in computing.

Sorry THW, you have done better and this marks a moment in time when you drive people away from you.

Did I mention I also hate MS? To be faire there was a time when MS was good. Ah, but those were the days when it was a small company. Anything that gets too big eventually loses touch...
