I have a P4T-E Mobo, I currently have 2x128 ECC 800 mhz sticks of RAM. I was wondering if I could upgrade using non ECC ram and if I could mix sizes, (I want to do a 256 and a 128) would this be possible? I'm thinking that I can only do 2x128 or 2x256 at the moment though, never seen anything like what I want to do. Anyways, thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

if you mix an ecc module with a non ecc module the ecc will be automatically turned off...

about mixing memory sizes as long as each pair of memory banks have the same size module you should be fine...

So easy to fry yet tastes so good...

Also, all the sticks in all slots should be at the same speed (PC800)

I had a much better usertitle but was caught trying to hack me a better one so I got my current title as a punishment

One more question, can I mix 40ns and 45ns RDRam? like 2 45ns 128 sticks with ECC and two 40ns 256 sticks with no ECC? and finally, does brand matter much? I have kingston, but can find samsung for cheaper now.

as long as they have the same speed 1066,600,800 then you should be able to use them together...i beleive if they are in sperate channels you can mix sticks

samsung in channels 1 and 2
kingston in channels 3 and 4

3 386DX-25's...12 volts...glue some ln2 and a wicked amount of overclocking and you get a willamantee minus 36 pins, 33.75 million transistors and a couple hundred mhz...
