i have a high end dell laptop, and was wondering if any of you can give me links or info on how to unlock the bios or something so i can tweak all the settings (frequency, timings) like i can on my desktop.

i tried a search, but no results.

BIOS in laptops are very limited. Just basic function most of the time. You did not say who bios it was AMI, ...
