Title says it all... :) Hi all, new here. Is it possible/advisable to install seldom used programs to an external eSATA harddrive? I use graphics programs infrequently and to save same space on the notebook drive, I'd like to install them to an external eSATA drive...will it work?

Thanks, Larry

It should work however for speed reasons it is inadvisable. As well external drives have been shown to have a higher failure rate then their desktop counterparts. in short use an external drive for data storage not for installing or running programs

Hope this helps,
