Can anyone out there compare the quality difference of computer-based
amp modellers/effects (chrome tone, ampfarm, guitar rig, etc.) vs.
something like the Line 6 Vetta II/PodXT or Roland VG-88?

Go bang on 'em. Don't rely on Amp Farm type plugins for all
your guitar tone needs. Don't ask, go check it
out.

Don't forget the Tech21 Trademark 10, a great sounding and flexible
little amp. A lot of credible tone in a small box and you can use it
DI as well, just like the Tech 21 Sans Amp pedals. No effects except
reverb of course, but getting a basic credible tone with impact is job
one really. You can add them later but all the effects in the world
can't make up for a lack of tone.
But I did think the little 9002 Zoom was a lot of fun to play with
though.
