Installed mobo.No POST,no BEEP.Then I found out that I had connected the power cables incorrectly.Corrected problem and I got a POST.Then my keyboard has no light.Keys do not
function.Replaced 3 keyboards.Same problem.Did I fry the
mobo or short the P/S2 connector going to the keyboard?

How 'incorrectly' did you install the power connectors? Does your computer detect a keyboard, or does it give you the 'no keyboard detected, press f1 to continue' type message?

'no keyboard detected, press f1 to continue'

Just messing around. This error code is the biggest joke ever on computer: when no keyboard detected, who the hell is able to press 'F1' to continue?

If I agree with you... will you shut up?

Strangely enough at work we've got a few keyboards which aren't detected but work fine... also on modern USB systems you can plug a keyboard in an press F1.

Row like mortals, think like gods.

Yeah I know that and in fact I'm using an USB keyboard, when this error occur I just remove my keyboard and plug in again, but think back the time when we are still using AT/PS2 keyboard :)

It did not give me the "no keyboard detected message".It says"Press F1 to continue,DEL to enter set up".In connecting the power cable wires I had the black wires on the opposite side of the connector. They should bein the center.

If you managed to connect a power connector backwards and attempt to power up, you very well may have fried something.
