I wanted bit-perfect transfers and picked this card up cheap, but I'm
having trouble getting it working.
First machine, win98, I had constant gaps in sound, whatever settings I
used.
Now it's in an XP machine, the sound is crackly, but also double-speed!
Has anyone got any suggestions ?
Next I was going to put it in an old P200, intel throughout, as the
other machines are AMD. I was really hoping for a bit more power to
edit with though <

CardD, not Card Deluxe?
The one that fits in ISA slots?

Are there even XP or Win2k drivers for it?

Did I miss your answer. Is it an ISA card? Or a PCI card? That will make
a big difference in answering the question.
I have had DAL CardD, their Digital Only card, and now a CardDeluxe. The
sound and performance of all have been excellent. However, I am currently
having a problem installing the card in an AMD system. Others have not had
problems. The CardDeluxe would be the second audio card. I have yet to try
uninstalling the motherboard audio, then installing the CardDeluxe, which
sometimes makes a difference.

Yes, it's a digital only CardD, ISA, I have.
I have resolved the issue in the original machine, AMD K6(?)-350, which
was down to a network card (AMD PCnet NIC).
I will probably not try to get it going in XP as that machine has 7 or
8 cards in already and I had to remove one to get it in!
I don't know a thing about their more recent cards, I don't know much
about the old ones for that matter ;o)

Glad to hear you've solved it. I used one of those digital only cards for
several years. Worked and sounded great.

I've still got two superfine little 98SE 2-track workstations with these
cards... the cards are still humming after almost 8 years of living in
a few different PCs.
