i installed max payne again and all of a sudden it would show, i click on play game, then ok for all that resolution settings, and then new game blah blah blah, then it shows it loading up, and then it disappears?! what is going on?

It works fine for me on my Windows XP laptop. Did you just install XP? If so did you get the latest XP drivers for your PC parts? Did you patch Max Payne? Pick a differant resolution to run at and turn down the settings and see if it works.
