SP2 Won't D/l? Help plz

Well for some reason sp2 wont download.I was able to dl Windows XP Service Pack 2 Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers but when i try to auto update i get this error Error Code: 8007F0CC.Btw i have pirated copy of xp.I think thats what the problems is.Will the network install work fine?

Not sure if its a Corporate edition or not its xp pro and it came with sp1 slipstreamed into it.Am i really missing anything by not installing sp2 other than the fire security stuff?

This was in another post. The IT version of SP2 is not to be installed into a fully updated XP install already containing the SP1 and all available patches.
It goes on to explain that the XP install could in fact fail.

As far as the SP2 service pack installing into a current XP install with SP1 from the Microsoft Update site you should have no problem. You have a boot-leg copy of XP so you have a boot-leg CD Key. You updated SP1 and patches prior to SP2 so it stands to reason you could install SP2 from the update site.

The only reason you might not be able to do so is your install of XP is corrupted........OR you have anti Virus or Software installed preventing the install.

If you are going to re-install XP as your version is fudged go buy XP your going to be using it for the next ten years so you might as well buy it legal. Hell go crazy and get a new system built that will come with it's own copy of XP, you might break out on top in costs.

Unless you are holding out for an Athlon64 and a new 64bit OS from MS. If you are going to reinstall your fudged version of XP the update site will simply provide you with a clean SP2 install no fuss no muss. Unless of course you stole your buddy's CD-KEY and he updated to XP/SP2 a week before you did and he keeps validating his KEY with MS.

I installed the IT version the day it was released. There was no need on my part to tell others to do it simply because I had.

I did not make a blanket statement at all Jake, what your grade 8 education failed to read or comprehend again was that Microsoft made that statement and they still have it posted as a warning to XP home users.

If you feel you must try to impress everyone with the fact that you installed the IT version all by your little self perhaps you would be so intelligent as to explain all the extra networking provided in the SP2 pack so the rest of us could learn from you.

Of course I have a PhD in computer science Jake so make sure you read all you can and copy paste everything you have no understanding of before you reply.
